Irish Dancing

Article by Evelyn C.

There was a fantastic show for Saint Patrick’s Day! Many talented Irish dancers put lots of hard work into learning the dances and performing them to the school! Their director, Mrs. Rehfield, also danced with them for their last hard shoe number, the treble reel. Hard shoes are especially loud on wood, similar to tap shoes. Soft shoes are more quiet than hard shoes. They are made softer materials. All the dances were full of life and excitement. Talk about St. Patrick’s day spirit! See Mrs. Rehfield or fill out an Edge form to sign up and learn this unique style of dancing.
